Labor Day
Labor Day United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 6 in 2010).

The first Labor Day in the United States was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City. In the aftermath of the deaths of a number of workers at the hands of the U.S. military and U.S. Marshals during the 1894 Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland put reconciliation with Labor as a top political priority. Fearing further conflict, legislation making Labor Day a national holiday was rushed through Congress unanimously and signed into law a mere six days after the end of the strike. All 50 U.S. states have made Labor Day a state holiday.

Seems that no matter how hard I try to miss the pot holes I aways seem hit them or when going out of a parking lot and the rig sways side to side hard and the 4 drawers below the wardrobe get emptied. So here is my solution. Two spring loaded cabinet door hinges and a bit of 3/4" oak stock cut to size and the problem has been solved.

Here is a shot of the new stop closed holding the draws shut:

And here is a shot of the new stop open:

Nice installation but I'm wondering why the drawers come open. With my 07 model 950 you have to lift the drawer a little to pull them open. Maybe they made a change sometime after yours was built.

Our drawers are recessed and one large cabinet door closes over all the drawers. Both the drawers and the door have latching features. I'm pretty sure the drawers would pop out given some of the roads we've driven.

The problem we're having now is the glassware is smashing itself up in the overhead cabinet. We need a method to keep the glassware separate. Currently, we lay glasses on their sides and stuff bubblewrap between them.

Every door and drawer in our 800 pop open. The one that covers the cabinet for the microwave is the really exciting one. I have had everything come out of that cabinet, except the microwave. Once emptied the pantry, what a mess. I need to get busy like joec and do something about it.

Another possible fix would be adding a drawer pull to the face of the drawers and either putting a dowel through the handles or a bungee from the top to the bottom pull. I'm retarded and have a difficult time opening my drawers when I want them to open and wondered if a drawer pull would make that easier.

Thankfully our drawers stay closed and we have never had a problem.

Joe I like the finished look of your fix. Looks as though it came from the factory. Much better than a tacky bungee cord.

It does look nice but it also looks like it could be an inconvenience once you get to the campground.

Dave

I think he just leaves it in the open or unlocked position and it is as if it is not even there.
