Labor Day
Labor Day United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 6 in 2010).

The first Labor Day in the United States was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City. In the aftermath of the deaths of a number of workers at the hands of the U.S. military and U.S. Marshals during the 1894 Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland put reconciliation with Labor as a top political priority. Fearing further conflict, legislation making Labor Day a national holiday was rushed through Congress unanimously and signed into law a mere six days after the end of the strike. All 50 U.S. states have made Labor Day a state holiday.

Pain in the butt to drain the heater by having to remove the plug with the anode attached. If the camper is going to not be used for a couple of weeks I always drain the tank. Manufacture says to drain after each use to reduce corrosion. To make it easier to drain I removed the plug and installed a 3/4 brass tee and close nipple, plastic water heater drain valve in the tee and reinstalled the combination plug and anode. Took some doing because I had to grind off the corners of the tee and temporarily raise the burner to get it screwed in. Also had to remove the valve stem to screw in the valve body. Now I can drain with hose attached.
