I want to install a dc receptacle in my 05 850, since it did not come with one and I now have power ot spare with 2 batteries. Anybody do this little job or suggestions?

I have put a few in my camper. I am guessing that you are talking about the standard cigarette type of dc receptacle?
I have mine set up for charging phones, laptops and a small fan. I set it up for 10 amps, and have a inline fuse at each receptacle. The wire is 14 gauge to run the power to the receptacle. If you have a run of more than 10 feet you will need larger wire (12 Ga) for the 10 amp circuit. |

| Joe, did you run it to an existing fuse or direct to the battery? |
