I want to install a dc receptacle in my 05 850, since it did not come with one and I now have power ot spare with 2 batteries. Anybody do this little job or suggestions?

I have put a few in my camper. I am guessing that you are talking about the standard cigarette type of dc receptacle?

I have mine set up for charging phones, laptops and a small fan. I set it up for 10 amps, and have a inline fuse at each receptacle. The wire is 14 gauge to run the power to the receptacle. If you have a run of more than 10 feet you will need larger wire (12 Ga) for the 10 amp circuit.

Joe, did you run it to an existing fuse or direct to the battery?
