I just purchased a Fantastic Fan 5000RBT to replace the rear vent above the dining area in our 2004 950. I have removed the old vent and have a question.
I found a red and a white wire on the passenger side of the vent opening.
I pulled these wires part way out but, did not want to pull too hard. Are these wire bare on one end and I connect the fan wiring to them?
Thank you for any help, Clint

I pulled both vents for cleaning purposes and found that they were pre-wired like yours.
I assumed that they are wired for motorized vents but didn't check for voltage, which would be the next step.
The fantastic fan was an "option" on the 2005 models - something that the dealer could install - which indicates to me that the vents are pre-wired.

I think that the factory did a loop of 12V wire to all the vents. I have power to all of mine. Only the vent in the middle of the camper has 120V, all the others have 12V.

I replaced the rear dining area vent with the Fantastic Fan this weekend. Now, all I need to do is get another inside trim because I did not measure twice and cut once :)

Just talked with Bob Beratta at Fantastic Fan. He's sending me a replacement piece already precut.
