Labor Day
Labor Day United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 6 in 2010).

The first Labor Day in the United States was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City. In the aftermath of the deaths of a number of workers at the hands of the U.S. military and U.S. Marshals during the 1894 Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland put reconciliation with Labor as a top political priority. Fearing further conflict, legislation making Labor Day a national holiday was rushed through Congress unanimously and signed into law a mere six days after the end of the strike. All 50 U.S. states have made Labor Day a state holiday.

I went to Home Depot and asked for a cabinet lock.
Sure enough. . .they had them. . .chrome and brass finishes available.
Being on a one track mind, I didn't think about getting them keyed alike. . .the locks do have key numbers. Maybe next time.

Here's the cabinet door over the fridge (2005 - 1150 model):

Cabinet lock installed - door was removed and flipped upside down. The factory installed clasp is still installed!

About $5 bucks

Rich, what made you get the lock? Security or just don't want the door to open during travel?

Laptop computer.
If we're out hiking and they force the camper door, then they'll force the cabinet door too.
But if someone forgets to lock the camper door, then at least it's not an easy grab.
