I'm getting ready for my annual trip to Flaming Gorge, aka Kokanee capital USA. I started making my own spinners and dodgers this past winter. Here are some that will be getting wet this year.

Very nice. Do you sell any? If so I'm going to have to keep my wife away from you. We already have some ten or twelve tackle boxes full of tackle now. For everything from Blugill to muskie. And even some for saltwater, witch we rarely do.

thepadg, your wife is the tackle buyer? That is cool! It is always fun to catch something on a lure you make.

I've always had better luck with live bait so I've never baught very much of that fancy stuff. Just give me a line, a pole, a hook and a worm and I'm happy. My wife had 4 or five tackle boxes full of tackle when we got married. She has stated makeing her own flies as well. She's not real good at it yet but they seem to work for her. Coarse anyone who has ever fished with my wife would tell you "if there is any fish there to be caught she'll catch em." Her favorite fishing shirt is a T shirt with the inscription "Fish fear my name" on it. If she doesn't catch any fish it's cause ther aren't any there. She'll catch three to my one most of the time.

Very very nice. Lets see now late May, Flaming Gorge, 5" spoon, 3" dodger, find the right color combination, troll up and down the river = Kokanee Trout. The only problen that I can see is our largest boat is a 16' Jon with a 9.9 horse motor and is not set up for trolling which could be done easily enough. We even have a couple of downriggers from a previous boat. We sold all of our lager boats, the 20" Criscraft fish & skii with 90 horse outboard, the 20' Landau fishing barge pontoon with 70 horse outboard (yes you could pull skiiers with it) and the 18' Rogue Bass boat with 35 horse outboard. And Flming Gorge is a long way from here. We go to Lake Michigan for Coho Salmon, Steelhead Salmon, Brown Trout, and Lake Trout. Have to get a charter boat these days. Besides Lake michigan is to rough for anythig smaller than 24' and I fell a lot safer in a 30 footer. and Walleye on Lake Erie. Will have to dig up som pics to post.
