Added Wave 3 heater about last year. Mounted it outside bathroom wall. Because the slider door comes close to top of heater I made heat shield from anodized aluminum and mounted it on top of heater.

Lot of wasted space below kitchen drawers so cut and framed opening and added new oak hinged door. Used self closing hinges. Store paper and plastic bags there.

New Eagle Caps have a fold up counter top extension available. I called Mony and asked if I could order one. Took about 3 weeks to get. The finish is exact match to my counter top. Had to install backing (3/4 thick x 2 wide) inside of cabinet to support front bracket. The cabinet was constructed with 1/8 paneling on each side of 3/4 frame so I cut 3/8 OD copper pipe 7/8 inch long for spacers behind the bracket screws. Very solid and goes up and down easy.

Very nice. . .that's what I'd call "value added". Was plumbing the gas line to the heater very difficult? Where does the gas line run?

| Since the stock heater is gas, I'd think you'd want the extra heater to be electric so you didn't have to burn all your propane when you had hook ups. |

Gas piping was routed under the bathroom floor and up into the propane tanks. Lots of room under the floor so that made it easy. I added a black iron tee fitting at the tanks to connect the new line. Manufactures install sheet says to install a shut off valve but that would have to be in the tank compartment for access so might as well just use the tank valves if needed.
I have a small portable ceramic electric heater for use when hooked up. The Wave 3 is great for boondocking because it's silent and does not use any power. It doesn't have a thermostat but has a variable control gas valve. Being infrared it's great when coming in out of the cold, like being in front of woodstove. Just have to crack open a couple of windows for venting because it's a non vented heater. It's only 3,000 BTU's and it wouldn't be sufficient for real cold weather but works great for 3 season camping. Cat makes vented infrared heaters but the fan is battery powered which I didn't want.

| I was thinking of installing a 110V outlet just like yours. Can you say what kind of a job that was to install? |

| Insalling the 110 outlet wasn't very hard at all. I don't know if your EC 1150 has the same lay out as mine. But if your pantry is between your slide out and bath room on the drivers side wall it is. Right below the pantry is an access panel. Mine has a 110 outlet on it. I removed the access panle hooked in to that outlet then ran the cable thuogh the hole in the wall where the electrical wireing for the slide out and the furnace goes.I used wire ties to fasten the new cabel (14-2 with ground) to the ones already there. This insures that you allow enough cable that the slide will move with out causeing the cable to get tight. then right up into the rear seat bench where my funace is then all I had to do was cut the proper size hole in the wall of the box and install the outlet box. I used the kind that had the little flippers on it to hold the box in the wall. Run the wire up in the box hook it to the outlet fasten the outlet in and your done. |

I just finished putint A mirror on the closet door and putting a small vent in the bottom of the door. Should let Air flow thru the camper better when traveling. will let heat in ti the bathroom on cold nights too. Vent is a type that can be closed if you wish by slideing a knobe.

We put one of my wife's paintings in the slide out over the window. She painted it on a peice of Birds Eye Maple. We got that peice of Maple from a place in Wiconson called Timeless Timbers. They have been bringing up logs off the bottom of Lake Superior For several years now That peice of wood is over one hundred years old.

I'd like to add a Wave 3 catalytic heater to our camper, too. Unfortunately, we have no place to mount one (our bathroom door is much closer to the floor than Tinbender's is, so we couldn't put it there.

Catalytic heaters are misers on propane use...you could probably run a small one like the Wave 3 24/7 for a month and still have propane left over! |

| Linda your camper must have that funky little step at the bathroom that I don't have on my 07 950. My heater is installed a little closer to the floor than the install says to but it doesn't warm the floor too much. The aluminum shield I added at the top protects the bottom of the bathroom door when open. Next time I get to the camper I will measure the distance from floor to door bottom so you can compare. |

thepadg, Thanks for sharing. You've got some great ideas. I didn't know about the storage under the shelf (pics 2 & 3). I may do the same. Where did you get the drop down hangar for the bathroom door? |

Our 2007 doesn't even have the "floors" in the front cabover closets. They go all the way to the carpet like yours do now when you lift the panels up. It didn't make much sense to install a floor in them just to provide less storage with more weight.

Jackman We got the drop down hanger that you see on the bath room door at Menards. It's like Lowe's and Home Depot. A building supply center. |
