Labor Day
Labor Day United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 6 in 2010).

The first Labor Day in the United States was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City. In the aftermath of the deaths of a number of workers at the hands of the U.S. military and U.S. Marshals during the 1894 Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland put reconciliation with Labor as a top political priority. Fearing further conflict, legislation making Labor Day a national holiday was rushed through Congress unanimously and signed into law a mere six days after the end of the strike. All 50 U.S. states have made Labor Day a state holiday.

I always crap a couple pieces of scrap cardboard into the space between the table and wall mount to get rid of the annoying clunk, clunk wiggle.

You might be taking the high fiber diet idea too far!

Well, you know those low carb high fiber foods are pretty much cardboard so that's what comes out the other end. :D

I finally finished my dinette conversion in my 850 no slide. I removed the sofa which gave me a 2' by 6' space.
I put 2'x2'x2' plywood boxes at each end of the space. I left the boxes open (3 sided)for storage.
My girlfriend used upholstry material to cover the boxes and made cushions from the foam and material that was the original sofa.
Off the internet I had a 2'x2' table made with formica that matches nicely with the interior.
I intentionally did not make it to convert to and extra bed!!!
We really like it and the conversion cost us about $180 plus our time.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Hey thanks.....
We just returned from 3 days in Dillon, Mt and really enjoy our new layout!! Maybe EC out to make them like that and avoid the sofa/ table layout. For 1 or 2 people it's sll you need plus you get the additional storage that the no-slides offer.

I have been told here that RV builders listen very well to THEIR customers the dealers that they sell to. You and I are NOT their customers therefore our needs and wants are falling on deaf ears as far as the builders are concerned.

To me this makes complete sense with regard to the fact that our TC's still leak. The dealers like it when they leak as they get warranty work and once it is out of warranty they make the big bucks on repairs. I think there is a method to this madness. Hence why I choose to boycott a lame and broken system/arrangement.

About the only way to get what you want is to see if the builder will do it for you in a custom fashion. Otherwise you are on your own.

Maybe I sould have put it this way. Once you buy their product they nolonger care about what you think of it. Have problems you fix it or sale it they don't care.

I would be suprised if EC's mgmt. didn't keep an eye on this site for both new ideas and repetitive problems. What a great resource for them!

Our new table system works great. No wiggle, wiggle, Clunk, clunk. No leg slipping of the slideout. Just a good solid table that my wife is no longer afraid to put heavy things on. She thinks that the company should get rid of that sorry flimsy leg system an start putting in the post type system it's much more sturdy.

Just a heads up on the EC dinette. If you look at the slot and tab hook arrangement on the wall this is where the wiggle comes from. I noticed that the tabs bend away from the table edge thus allowing more slop in the slot. If you bend it more flush then the tab is tighter and the table does not wiggle. yes you will need to re-bend it from time to time but it does fix the wiggle quite a bit.

I have had the pole type systems too and I prefer the EC method as I don't have the loose pole to deal with. Potato, Patata. YMMV

All my other truck campers had the pole system on the tables and were very solid. I'll admitt that some times the poles were hard to get out when we wanted to make it into a bed. but they were alway rock solid while on the road. Thats why I changed mine to a pole system.
