Noisy Friction Hinge - mplusm - 04-19-2018 Anyone have an idea how to correct a "screeching" friction hinge (the door hinge on the Adventurer camper)? I am scared that if I oil it, it will lose it's "friction" capability and start flapping around in the breeze. RE: Noisy Friction Hinge - boycbronco - 09-17-2018 I'm thinking you could try graphite powder? They sell it at hobby shops and probably lots of other places. I used to use it to lubricate the wheels on pinewood derby cars. By the way, I was wondering the same thing, as my friction hinge is starting to squeal a little bit. |
