Good Day to all!
I would need an upgrade to get this genset quieter....
This topic is mentionned is other posts but no precise description,
What is needed to silenced this generator staying within OEM operating specs?
Is muffler available at Onan/Cummins?
Onan/Cummins part number?
Pics of your set up would be appreciated!
Thanks for taking me by the hand!

I see you didn't get much feedback.. I'm also interested. My solution was solar and an inverter so I can quietly make coffee in the morning and run the gen if I need it later.

Onan does indeed make an exhaust resonator:

I've seen and heard one in action on a Lance camper - there is a noted difference in sound level, but very slight.
The most effective method that I've read of was a home made baffle that fit under the generator compartment. It is a project that I intend to experiment with sometime, but you know how that goes. . .
Lots of projects, little time. . .

That is my solution as well. I am hoping my solar set-up will become robust enough to do without the generator, but for now keeping it for a plan B.

I'm more intrested in the muffler, but in response to the solar; I installed 350 watts of panels, 30 amp go power controller and a xantech pure sone inverter. I have (3) group27 batteries in the rear battery compartment and installed (1) group 27 battery in front of the fresh water tank. I ran the two outlets on different cables to two different outlets. I terminated the connetions between the two interfaces of the outlets so I stll have capability of 110vac shore power on one side and if needed 110 vac inverter power when needed. Works great and doesn't require a switching device . With 2k watt you can run up to the microwave but not AC. Not enough room for batteries or a large enough inverter to do so. Make sure to get a brand name pure sine inverter because of the electronics.
