Noisy Friction Hinge
#1
Anyone have an idea how to correct a "screeching" friction hinge (the door hinge on the Adventurer camper)?  I am scared that if I oil it, it will lose it's "friction" capability and start flapping around in the breeze.

I'm thinking you could try graphite powder?  They sell it at hobby shops and probably lots of other places.  I used to use it to lubricate the wheels on pinewood derby cars.  By the way, I was wondering the same thing, as my friction hinge is starting to squeal a little bit.
