855
#1
We are going back to look at an EC 855 from 2008.  No slide.  Hard to find any brochures, as that is the year that the business changed hands between Yakima and Oregon?  Anyway, it's in the 2010 brochure, but no info other than that.  Does anyone here have info on the 855?  I did meet someone on the FB group but he does not have a brochure.

Seem to be rare finding a non slide EC.

We did end up buying the 855.  Guess it wasn't made for many years, maybe only a couple?  Does anyone know of a source for an owners manual?  Ours didn't come with any.

The “owners manual” that came with our 2007 was just an envelope full of the manuals from the installed appliances.  You can find those online these days anyway.  Other than that, I do have electronic copies of the 2007 literature which has info on weights and floor plans, etc.  I doubt the 2008 was different.

We found most things online, however, the Suburban Hot Water Heater, seems to operate on propane by engaging the switch on the range hood panel.  But do not see a switch anywhere in the camper for electric.  It is a SW6DE so pretty sure there should be a switch for electric?  Or does it just run automatic on electric when the camper is plugged into shore power?

That water heat is still sold.  Check the review comments on Amazon.  From what I read, it doesn't come with a switch (although it has a 1440 watt electric element) and several people had this issue - with one finding the on/off for electric connected at the circuit breaker.

I traded in the problematic 2014 Lance for an 1150 Arctic Fox - wish EC made the 1150.
The rig looks similar to this - nothing exceeds factory weight limits.

As I recall, the electric switch is accessed outside behind the exterior cover - it has a weather-proof cover.
